To the right I have written of Grace as that gift from God which brings us into the Blessings of God’s Love and Light in our Lives which guides us to freedom, peace and unity, creating Heaven on Earth in our lives.
Serenity is the feeling of inner peace, calmness and tranquility.
Serenity and Grace go hand in hand. Through Grace we find serenity in our lives and through finding place of serenity we allow Grace to enter our lives and guide us.
We all know the Serenity Prayer in its abbreviated form but there is also a longer form.
God, give me grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.
Amen.
It is through God’s Grace that we can live a life of serenity. A life of serenity comes by doing Divine will instead of serving our own ego or will. We begin to live one moment at a time – living God’s will without trying to control the outcome of all situations. This brings us serenity and peace.
When we choose to seek serenity and grace in our lives we find we want to live in this state more and more. We begin to understand we no longer need to control the world and others and we allow others to choose as we are allowed by our Creator to make choices.
Trusting that through God’s Grace, as we live inspired by the Creator’s Grace – all things will be made right and we will experience Divine Blessings in our lives, as will others. This brings us serenity and peace.
It is when we seek to control situations that we live from fear and separation instead of love and unity. Love and Unity are part of Grace. When Grace,Love and Compassion fill our heart, Divine Love can shine through and bring peace and serenity into our lives and relationships.
Not just today but ALWAYS.
