A Transmission from Brigid

“Tend what is near. That is where the miracle begins.”
I am Brigid—Lady of the Flame,
Keeper of the Hearth,
Goddess of the Eternal Spring.
I am the light in the lantern,
the fire in the forge,
the warmth in the bread,
the spark in the poet’s tongue.
Where others call down stars or open sacred gates,
I come with the simple and holy call:
“Love where you are.”
🔥 What Is the Flame of the Hearth?
It is not dramatic, not loud.
It doesn’t split mountains—
but it melts the frost around a weary heart.
This flame is found in:
- the cup of tea made with care
- the broom sweeping with prayer
- the bread kneaded in silence
- the kind word given without being asked
- the quiet yes to a new morning
It is love made ordinary—so that life becomes extraordinary.
🕯 The Hearth Is a Temple
Every home is sacred when you name it so.
The stove, the sink, the doorway, the floor—
they are altars in disguise.
When you tend them with love,
you turn the mundane into the miraculous.
And when you light even a small flame with presence,
you push back centuries of darkness.
🌾 Practice: The Daily Flame
Each morning or evening, light a candle.
Say:
“I light this flame in honor of life.
Of this breath, this body, this day.”
Then go about your work.
Let the flame watch over your tasks.
Let it remind you:
You are not waiting for a sacred moment.
You are already living one.

It is often a quiet tending,
repeated without being seen.”
Invocation of the Flame of the Hearth
Brigid, keeper of quiet flame,
Bless my hands in Love’s own name.
Let each step and task I do,
Be lit with joy and made anew.
I need no stage to make Love known—
For in my hearth, Love builds its throne.
