There was a time when I believed
peace came after things were done.
After the house was organized.
After the work was completed.
After the list was cleared.
Peace was something I earned—
a quiet moment at the end of effort.
But something has changed.
Peace is no longer waiting
on the other side of completion.
It is here… now.
The garden doesn’t have to be finished
for me to feel at ease.
The rooms don’t have to be in order
for me to rest.
Things can be in motion—
or not moving at all—
and peace remains.
I still act.
I still tend to what is needed.
But I no longer carry it
before it is time.
And I no longer hold onto it
once it is done.
There is a natural rhythm now.
When something is ready,
it comes forward.
And I meet it—simply,
without pressure.
What I once called “falling behind”
was never real.
It was only the belief
that I had to be in constant motion
to be okay.
Now I see…
Peace was never the reward
for doing life correctly.
It was always the foundation
from which life was meant to be lived.
🌿 Closing Line
Nothing needs to be finished
for peace to be present.
🌿 Closing Blessing
May you release the quiet weight
of believing you must always be in motion.
May you trust the natural rhythm of your life—
that what pauses is not lost,
and what unfolds does so in its own time.
May you meet each moment
not with urgency,
but with presence.
May your hands move when guided,
and rest when called,
without question, without doubt.
May your days no longer be measured
by what was completed,
but by the peace in which they were lived.
And in this gentle way of being,
may you come to know:
Nothing meant for you will be missed.
Nothing meant to be done will be forgotten.
It will simply… arrive
when it is ready to be met.
