Today, when I asked what was important to understand, I was guided to a segment from the program Mysteries at the Museum about astronaut Gordon Cooper. He was one of the first individuals from the United States to travel into space and orbit the Earth, with a mission goal of exceeding 24 hours.
In 1963, early space missions were extremely dangerous. Technology was still developing, and computers were in their infancy. Mr. Cooper was chosen for this mission because of his remarkable ability to remain calm under pressure and navigate difficult situations with clarity.
During his mission, several events occurred that could have caused panic. However, the most critical moment came when he lost the automatic navigational system. This system was essential—it calculated the precise direction and trajectory required for safe reentry. Without it, there was a real risk of either crashing into the Earth or skipping off the atmosphere and drifting back into space.
Instead of panicking, Mr. Cooper turned inward and outward at once—using the stars as his guide. With calm presence and focused awareness, he manually calculated and navigated the correct trajectory. He successfully landed within four miles of the intended site, completing a 34-hour mission.
What does this have to do with our spiritual path?
As I reflected, I sensed this was a living example of what has been unfolding for us over the past few days.
Mr. Cooper’s ability to remain calm and centered in the face of uncertainty mirrors our own journey. When circumstances become unpredictable or overwhelming, we are invited to return to our center—to the heart—and align with higher guidance.
When we are not aligned with our Higher Self Presence, our reactions tend to arise from the ego or “monkey mind”—the instinctual fight-or-flight response designed to protect the physical form. In this state, we may either:
- retreat into fear, feeling like a victim, or
- attempt to control everything around us in reaction to that fear
Both are natural responses—but they are not our highest guidance.
The Shift
It is when we pause…
take a breath…
and return to the center of our being…
that something different becomes available.
From this place, we can align with higher awareness and respond—not react. We can access clarity, wisdom, and the most beneficial path forward—not only for ourselves, but for others as well.
This is our true design as a Flame of Creation.
We are not victims of circumstance—we are sovereign participants in our experience, even amidst chaos.
The Present Moment
At the time of this writing in 2026, we are witnessing intensifying changes across the world. Old systems and patterns of control are being challenged, making space for new awareness and expanded possibility.
In these moments, we have a choice:
We can:
- become consumed by events, feeding them with our attention, fear, and energy
or
We can:
- pause, center, and align with a higher resonance
- attune to a broader field of possibility
- choose a different trajectory
The Guidance
Just as Mr. Cooper used the stars to guide his return, we too are being offered guidance—subtle, steady, and ever-present.
When we align with this inner and higher knowing, we are shown the trajectory that leads us safely forward—not into collapse, but into coherence.
The old systems may continue to resist change, repeating familiar patterns. But we are not required to follow those patterns.
The Choice
The choice is always ours:
Where will we place our attention?
What will we align with?
Which path will we follow?
The signals are present.
The guidance is available.
And when we remain calm, centered, and aligned—
we are led, with precision,
to the landing that is meant for us.
THE BLESSING
Beloved Presence within and around us,
In this moment, we choose to pause…
to breathe…
to return to the still point within the heart.
Where there has been noise, may there be calm.
Where there has been fear, may there be clarity.
Where there has been reaction, may there be presence.
May we remember that we are not lost in the vastness,
but guided—
as surely as the stars guide the traveler home.
When the systems we relied upon fall away,
may we trust the deeper knowing within us.
When uncertainty arises,
may we remain steady in our center.
Like the one who navigated by the stars,
may we also lift our awareness—
beyond the immediate,
into the greater field of wisdom available to us.
May our breath anchor us.
May our heart guide us.
May our awareness align us.
We call forth calm…
We embody focus…
We stand in quiet determination.
And in this alignment,
may the perfect trajectory reveal itself—
step by step, breath by breath.
We are guided.
We are held.
We are capable.
And we arrive,
exactly where we are meant to be.
And so it is
