We Can’t Change Another’s Mind

Where we place our focus influences what we bring forth and experience in our lives.

We can try to change another person’s mind, but unless they are already approaching a point of readiness, our efforts may only lead to disagreement, resistance, or withdrawal. Sometimes, those conversations can even turn toward conflict.

Yet there is another way.

When we allow the fullness of our Presence to flow through us, something within the heart or mind of another may be touched. A spark of recognition, a moment of stillness, or an opening to a different perspective may occur without our saying a single word.

We do not always need to convince another. Sometimes, we simply need to BE.

This is another of my Digging Deeper sharings. It concerns an energy I believed I had already understood, cleared, and released. Yet, as often happens along this journey of embodiment, another layer presented itself for recognition.

For those who have heard portions of this story before, please forgive the repetition. I share it again because it provides the foundation for what I have come to understand more deeply.

A Reflection on Timelines and Memory

Within my spiritual understanding, all timelines exist within the eternal Now, even though our human experience perceives events as belonging to the past, present, or future.

I sometimes wonder whether this offers one possible way of contemplating experiences such as the Mandela Effect, where groups of people remember events or details differently from the established historical record.

Could differing memories reflect the many possibilities we imagine within a multidimensional universe? Or might our perceptions simply be influenced by the complex ways memory and consciousness operate?

I do not claim to know. These are simply thoughts I offer for contemplation.

But let me return to my story.

The Memories of Atlantis

Throughout my spiritual journey, I have experienced memories and impressions associated with what I perceive as the final days of Atlantis, from two different perspectives.

In one, I was a young woman who had served as a priestess. I left the temple life to warn others that changes were necessary, for I sensed that destruction could come upon their society if they continued along their chosen path.

In another, I perceived myself serving aboard a Galactic Federation of Light ship as an advisor assigned to Atlantean scientists. They were attempting to connect with a structure on Mars in hopes of correcting the circumstances that threatened their civilization.

From the perspective I experienced, those aboard the ship could see the possibility of disastrous consequences.

Once again, I tried to warn others.

Once again, my warnings went unheeded.

Connected to these experiences was the impression of being trapped within a dimensional bubble of time.

Whether understood literally, symbolically, or as part of my own spiritual language, this experience carried something very real for me emotionally.

For much of my life, I carried feelings of failure and abandonment that I could not fully explain.

I had previously remembered the experience of being the priestess and the feeling of being caught within this bubble, but I had not understood how the other experience connected to it.

Eventually, within my spiritual reflections, I came to understand that perhaps I had chosen to hold this energy in service until the time came for its release.

I believed that time had arrived.

I thought that by remembering and understanding these experiences, I had completed the healing.

I recognized how deeply those feelings had influenced my life, particularly through experiences of failure, abandonment, and strong reactions to unjust authority.

Yet there was still something more for me to see.

Stepping Outside the Loop

I had come to perceive the experiences surrounding Atlantis as part of a repeating pattern of energy, reflected in the rise and fall of civilizations throughout history.

Some civilizations ended. Others migrated, adapted, or transformed.

Within my spiritual understanding, I associated my release from this time bubble with what I perceive as a larger shift in human consciousness, one in which many individuals feel called to contribute to humanity’s growth and awakening.

But today I realize that the greater cosmic explanation is not the most important part of my story.

What matters is what has changed within me.

I no longer need to remain within that bubble of time, carrying the burden of what I believed I had failed to accomplish.

I no longer need to hold an energy of responsibility for choices that were never mine to make.

And whether this release has meaning beyond my personal journey is not important.

For me, it means I no longer need to feel abandoned.

For I never truly was.

I have always been loved.

I have always been enough.

I have always belonged within the Oneness of Being.

The Deeper Realization

This morning, I recognized something that brings an even greater sense of completion.

I no longer need to rally against every injustice.

That does not mean injustice should be ignored, nor does it diminish the importance of those who are called to confront it, speak against it, or work toward meaningful change.

That may very well be their path of service.

But I am recognizing that my own path is different.

For so long, a part of me believed that if I could just help others see what I saw, understand what I understood, or recognize the consequences of their choices, perhaps I could prevent suffering.

I now see how that sense of responsibility divided my attention and energy.

One part of me was seeking to live fully within my Presence, while another remained focused upon what others were doing, believing, or failing to understand.

My focus can no longer remain divided.

I am being called to stand fully within my Presence.

Not as an escape from the world, but as my way of serving within it.

This is where Peace becomes my baseline rather than something I must continually struggle to attain.

Let Presence Sit Upon the Inner Throne

As I reflected upon this realization, I recognized what had prompted this deeper exploration.

Yesterday, while writing, I reread a message I had received and attributed to Quan Yin.

I would like to share it again because the wisdom it expresses feels important for all of us.

The ego must not be worshipped, but neither should it be hated.

The shadow must not be feared, but neither should it be allowed to rule.

The protector must not be shamed, but neither should it be blocked from doing what it was created to do.

The personality must not be erased, for it is the color through which the soul paints its offering upon the world.

Let Presence sit upon the inner throne. Then every part of the human being becomes an instrument of the One.

The Presence must lead.

As I read these words again, I understood that my journey was not about overcoming or eliminating parts of myself.

It was about bringing them home.

The protector who had worked so diligently to prevent pain and injustice did not need to be dismissed or silenced.

That part of me needed to know that the responsibility it had carried could finally be released.

The personality did not need to disappear.

The experiences, memories, and emotions that had shaped my human journey did not need to be denied.

They all had a place within the wholeness of my Being.

But none of them needed to sit upon the inner throne.

That place belongs to Presence.

We Each Have Our Part to Play

We each have our own path, our own lessons, and our own ways of contributing to the greater whole.

Some will serve through speaking out.

Some through teaching.

Some through healing, creating, protecting, or standing courageously for change.

And some may serve simply through the peaceful, compassionate way they walk among others.

No one path is necessarily greater than another.

What matters is whether we are acting from alignment with the truth of our Being.

We can ask ourselves:

Am I acting from love or from fear?

Am I responding from Presence, or am I reacting from an old wound?

Am I honoring the path of another, even when I do not understand or agree with their choices?

Am I walking the truth I wish others to recognize?

These questions invite us to look within rather than continually directing our attention toward the choices of others.

When our focus becomes divided between being who we are and trying to make others become who we believe they should be, we lose some of the peace that comes from inner alignment.

But when we return to Presence, our words and actions can arise from a different foundation.

We may still speak.

We may still act.

We may still stand firmly for what we understand to be true.

But we no longer need to carry the burden of controlling the outcome.

We can offer our light without demanding that another see by it.

And perhaps this is the greatest realization of all.

We do not change the world simply by telling others how they should live.

We contribute to its transformation by living what we have come to understand.

As more of humanity chooses to embody love, compassion, wisdom, peace, and sovereignty, the world we create together can begin to reflect those qualities.

We do not need to change another’s mind to honor our own truth.

We need only walk our path with integrity, allowing others the freedom to discover theirs.

I AM HERE.

I AM ENOUGH.

I AM PRESENT.

And today, I choose to let Presence lead.
